Meet Ravi S. Modasra, a seasoned real estate investor and developer with over a decade of experience in the industry. As a principal and managing partner of The Mohawk Companies, Mr. Modasra has played a pivotal role in growing the companys real estate portfolio across various sectors, including hotels, retail, industrial, and residential investments. His expertise in hotels and hospitality acquisition, dispositions, development, financing, franchising, and repositioning of failing assets has been instrumental in the success of the company.

In addition to his role at The Mohawk Companies, Mr. Modasra is also a Principal Licensed Real Estate Broker at BlueBird Commercial Real Estate, LLC. He has been an active licensed real estate professional since 2012 and has represented landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers in several industries, with a particular focus on hospitality and hotel product. His extensive knowledge of the real estate market and his ability to navigate complex transactions make him a valuable asset to his clients.

Mr. Modasra holds a B.S. in Accounting degree from Siena College and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR) Greater Capital Area Chapter, Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Brokers, Inc. (CIREB), and Rotary Club of Scotia District 7190.

Born and raised in New York States Capital Region, Mr. Modasra continues to reside just outside of Albany, New York, in the Village of Scotia with his wife and two children.

Meet Subhash S. Modasra, a dynamic real estate investor and developer with a passion for analytics and market research. As a principal and managing partner of The Mohawk Companies, Mr. Modasra brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the table, having worked in destination marketing within New York State and at Expedia Inc. , a Fortune 500 company, in the New York City market. His holistic view drives the vision for the company.

With years of real estate and business knowledge under his belt, Mr. Modasra is committed to driving operational efficiencies and delivering exceptional customer experiences. His elevated organizational experience enables him to lead world-class teams and outperform competitors in the marketplace. He is dedicated to building a dynamic work culture for all staff members while focusing on profitability.

Mr. Modasra holds a B.B.A. in Hospitality Management from the State University of New York at Delhi and an M.B.A. in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University. He is an active board member of Discover Schenectady and the Hospitality Division at SUNY Schenectady.

Born and raised in New York State’s Capital Region, Mr. Modasra currently resides just outside of Albany, New York, in Schenectady, NY, with his wife.

Meet Sunil G. Modasra, a principal and cofounder of The Mohawk Companies, with over two decades of experience as a full-time real estate investor and developer. Prior to his position with The Mohawk Companies, Mr. Modasra spent 32 years with the Town of Colonie, holding various titles including Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, and Network Administrator.

Mr. Modasra immigrated to the United States in 1971 at the age of 12. He was the son of a businessman, a self-taught real estate investor and flipper. In 1983, Sunil assisted his father in investing in their first economy motel, which paved the way for his two sons to further their hotel and real estate ambitions into what would become The Mohawk Companies.

Mr. Modasra holds a B. S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from SUNY Albany. He is an active member of the Scotia Glenville Elks Lodge 2759 and serves as Treasurer of Gujarat Samaj of the Capital District, Inc.

As a trusted advisor to The Mohawk Companies, Mr. Modasra continues to reside just outside of Albany, New York, in the Village of Scotia with his wife.

Meet Soniya R. Modasra, the Operations Manager of The Mohawk Companies, who has been an integral part of the team since 2015. Ms. Modasra has extensive knowledge and experience spanning limited service, select service and full service and resort properties. She has worked in a wide range of markets spanning suburban, metro and international properties. Her real-world operational experience allows her to proactively examine operational efficiencies, improving systems and standard operating procedures for the company.

Ms. Modasra holds a bachelors degree in Hospitality and Tourism from CZ Patel College of Business and Management (located in Gujarat, India). She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Scotia, where she contributes her time and expertise to various community initiatives.

She currently resides just outside of Albany, New York, in the Village of Scotia, with her husband and two kids where she continues to play a vital role in the success of The Mohawk Companies.
